01.12.05 Erkki Leego’s article “eTervise areng Eestis” (Progress of eHealth in Estonia) was published in the supplement of newspaper Eesti Ekspress, Moodne Meditsiin (December 2005). The developments of eHealth gained ground in 2002. At the same time two major eHealth projects were initiated – the digital health record and electronic medical history. The article gives an overview about the current state and future plans of those and many other new projects.

25.11.05 Commissioned by the West-Tallinn Central Hospital (LTKH), the Hanson, Leego & Partner organizes the procurement for purchasing the basic application of the LTKH. As a result of the procurement, one of the applications, supporting the primary activity will be implemented and the development and maintenance agreement will be contracted. The deadline is January 22nd 2006.

22.11.05 Erkki Leego’s article “Euroopa Komisjoni teaduse ning arenduse miljardid ka Eestile valla” (The European Commission science and development billions also available for Estonia) was published in the newspaper Meditsiiniuudised. The article introduces the possibilities of eHealth and eInclusion enterprises for participation in the science and development activities of European Commission.

15.11.05 Erkki Leego’s article “Tagavarakoopiate puudumine – risk või mitte?” (The absence of back-up copies – a risk or not?) was published in the supplement of Äripäev, ITee Nr. 10 (44). The topics of perceiving dangers-risks and evaluation are discussed in the article.

11.11.05 Erkki Leego delivered a lecture “Tervishoid läbi IT prisma” (Health care through the viewpoint of IT) for the students of IT College. The main emphasis of the course is on meeting representatives from different areas of IT, in order to: broaden the IT related world picture in modern and future society, motivate studies and give a clearer picture of their future work.

18.10.05 Commissioned by the North-Estonian Regional Hospital (PERH) the Hansson, Leego & Partner evaluates the dangers and weaknesses of the PERH information system and develops information security policy for the PERH. The deadline is November 30th 2005.

18.10.05 Erkki Leego’s article “Andmeturve nõuab kindlat vastutajat” (Data security needs a certain voucher) was published in the supplement of Äripäev, ITee Nr. 9 (43). The article advises which primary data security measures should be used in your enterprise.

23.09.05 Commissioned by the Estonian Motor Vehicle Registration Center (ARK), Hansson, Leego & Partner, in cooperation with Cell Network, is preparing a specification system of Paper Free ARK. The created specification is the basis in subscribing the realization of ARK’s e-services. The deadline is November 4th 2005.

20.09.05 Erkki Leego’s article “Efektiivne andmekaitse algab suhtumisest” (Effective data protection starts with the attitude) was published in the supplement of Äripäev, ITee Nr. 8 (42). The article gives advice to managers for effective data security arrangement in their enterprises.

28.08.05 Hansson, Leego & Partner consults Tartu University Hospital in arranging the data security for processing sensitive personal data. The deadline is 31.08.2005

16.08.05 Erkki Leego’s article “Firma andmeid tuleb kaitsta terviklikult” (The data of the enterprise must be entirely protected) was published in the supplement of Äripäev, ITee Nr. 7 (41). The article gives an overview about the different sides of intact data security.

11.08.05 Commissioned by the West-Tallinn Central Hospital, Hansson, Leego & Partner evaluates four applications, which support the treatment methods and settlements. It will be decided according to the evaluation, which application will be implemented as the supporting information system for the primary activity of the hospital. The deadline is September 22nd 2005.

10.08.05 Hansson, Leego & Partner implements the security audit of the security of information assets and the suitability of information security policy in developing and maintaining the information systems for processing sensitive personal data in the Gennet Laboratories. The deadline is August 25th 2005.

27.07.05 Hansson, Leego & Partner is an IT partner in the World Bank consultation project „Improvement of Hospital Governance/Management and Strategic planning,” led by Scandinavian Care. The subscriber of the project is the Georgian Health and Social Projects Implementation Center. HLP prepares instructions and the action plan for developing the finance and administration systems of Georgian hospitals. Duration of the project: July-November 2005.

24.07.05 Erkki Leego’s article "E-Health initiatives in Estonia" was published in the magazine Baltic IT&T Review (No.2 (37) 2005). The article gives an overview about the current state and future plans of Estonian eHealth projects.

03.06.05 Commissioned by the Tallinn City Government, Hansson, Leego & Partner evaluates the implementation quality of the projects used in the international projects department of Riga City Government and their accordance to the coordination necessities of externally funded projects of Tallinn City Government. Compares the arrangement of implementation in externally funded projects, the presence of functionality in implementation and its development plans and the sustainability of the implementation. The deadline is June 20th 2005.

14.04.05 Hansson, Leego & Partner and 10 international partners have started a EC financed IST project EPIST (Enhanced participation in IST projects related to eHealth and eInclusion).

The EPIST project has the objective to boost NMS and ACC participation in IST activities related to eHealth and eInclusion through the implementation of two channels: a virtual one in the form of a pilot portal to facilitate the transfer, exchange and sharing of information as well as contacts among NMS and ACC organisations operating in the field of eHealth and eInclusion and a real one in the form of brokerage events, workshops and technical assistance.

31.03.05 On 07.04.05, Erkki Leego performs the presentation "Estonian National Digital Health Record Project" (pdf, 700kb) at the forum Baltic IT&T 2005 in Riga. On 08.04.05, he is the moderator of the discussion "Why to invest into modernization of information systems in healthcare?".

08.03.05 Hansson, Leego & Partner will prepare the documents and additional materials for the Public Procurement Notices of Invitation to Tender of Digital Health Record and procedure of negotiations with tenderers. In addition, we will form the technical descriptions of projects Digiregistratuur (Digital check-in), Digiretsept (Digital prescription) and Digipildid (Digital images) procurement entities. The deadline for the work is 11 April 2005.
