Record of service: From 1999 to 2004, I was heading the Informatics Service of Tartu University Hospital foundation, in order to ensure the efficient employment of modern information technology in achieving the goals of the clinic. Four years later, I was heading the Information Systems and Technology Department of the Estonian Parliament, and for two years I worked as the information councillor for the Office of the President. I am a member of the Digital Health Record commission of experts of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Education: Hugo Treffner Gymnasium, Bachelor's and Master's degree of Informatics in Tartu University and the vocation of Informatics teacher for Gymnasium level.

Organisational membership: Estonian Students Society (EÜS)

Awards: 2001 Order of the White Star

Interests: There is a strong urge for travel in me, which does not let me stay in one place for long. The most enjoyable places are Croatia and Egypt. I go in for all kinds of sports, however my favourites are decathlon and cycling.

Personal characteristics: Strong capability for analysis and synthesis, result oriented, conscientious and loyal, demanding both in what concerns oneself and the co-workers.

Languages: Estonian, English, German, Russian – oral and written proficiency.

Family: My wife is Merike and I have two children – Steven and Stella.
